Stocks head higher on job gains

NEW YORK, April 1 (UPI) -- Stock indexes pushed higher on Wall Street Friday after the Labor Department said 216,000 jobs were additional to the economy in March.

The additional jobs down the unemployment evaluate from 9.9 proportionality to 8.8 proportionality with the evaluate today notching lower for four serial months.

In salutation trading in New York, the Dow Jones industrial average was up 81.10 points or 0.66 proportionality to 12,400.80. The Standard & Poor's 500 index gained 9.66 or 0.73 proportionality to 1,335.49. The Nasdaq index of tech-dominated have additional 16.55 or 0.6 proportionality t 2,797.62.

In London, the FTSE 100 index additional 1.71 percent, 101.16, to 6,009.92.
