Wal-Mart tests online grocery delivery in California (Reuters)

CHICAGO (Reuters) – Wal-Mart Stores Inc has begun investigating an online mart delivery service in San Jose, California, a company spokesman said on Saturday.

The world's large merchandiser had been rumored to be considering dipping its toe into online mart delivery for the past some years.

The "Walmart To Go" test allows customers to meet Walmart.com to visit groceries and consumables institute in a Walmart accumulation and hit them delivered to their homes, the spokesman said.

Products allow firm produce, meat and seafood, frozen, bakery, baby, over-the-counter pharmacy, home supplies and health and example items.

No other details were immediately available.
