Kiddieland scooters recalled

WASHINGTON, April 22 (UPI) -- Scituate, Mass., toymaker Kiddieland Toys Ltd. is recalling 16,700 Lights and Sounds Scooters, a federal watchdog agency said.
The scooters have hinges that enter the steering column to the riding platform. The company has received two reports of children requiring stitches after being revilement by the hinges, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.
The recall includes 700 scooters oversubscribed in Canada.
The scooters were imported from China and oversubscribed nationwide from Jan 2009 finished February 2011 for about $40.
The recall involves threesome models of three-wheeled scooters, digit with a Spider-Man theme, digit fashioned in a saint & Friends thought and digit primarily sound scooter fashioned for girls.
Consumers were advised to verify the scooters away from children and occurrence Kiddieland for a liberated repair kit.
