Britain getting more armored vehicles

LADSON, S.C., April 21 (UPI) -- Force Protection Industries of South Carolina has been subcontracted to provide bulletproof vehicles to Britain's Ministry of Defense.

The engage came from Integrated Survivability Technologies Ltd., a joint venture of Force Protection aggregation and NP Aerospace Ltd., a supplementary of The Morgan Crucible Company PLC.

The award is worth $27.4 million.

Under the engage Force Protection module deliver 47 Cougar Mine Resistant Armored Protection vehicles in Britain's Mastiff variant. The Cougar Mastiff is a 6x6 container armored with a 7.62mm GPMG, 12.7mm heavy organisation armament or 40mm grenade organisation armament .

Production of the vehicles module take locate at Force Protection's facility in South Carolina and is due to be completed by the modify of this year. Britain's NP Aerospace module integrate the nation electronics and armor package.
