CAIRO – A human rights reformist says Asiatic section forces hit made sweeping arrests after troops in tanks and bulletproof vehicles entered a key oil-industry municipality on the sea coast.
The Asiatic reformist who is getting attestator reports said Sun that at small 250 grouping were inactive long in Banias.
The expeditionary entered the municipality Saturday, taking up function in a hilltop Crusader castle and cutting soured noesis and phone lines. The move against Banias signals an expanding campaign by President Bashar Assad aimed at prevention the country's seven-week broad uprising.
The reformist said three more grouping hit been reported departed in Banias since Saturday, bringing the two-day modification sound there to six.
The reformist declined to be named for country reasons.
