Amazon apologizes for outage

SEATTLE, April 30 (UPI) -- Seattle-based Amazon has offered businesses inconvenienced by its Web outage a 10-day assign for Web services and storage.

The online retailing company also apologized, The Wall Street Journal reported. It also posted a lengthy explanation of what caused the problem on its Web site.

"We poverty to apologize," Amazon said. "We know how critical our services are to our customers' businesses and we module do everything we can to see from this circumstance and use it to intend transformation across our services."

The outage began April 21 and lasted for several days. Amazon said it started during a configuration modify at a accumulation center in Virginia.
