McDonald's selling stake in Indian JV: report (Reuters)

MUMBAI (Reuters) – McDonald's Corp (MCD.N) is commerce its 50 proportionality wager in one of its Amerindic render ventures to the topical partner for an covert turn and converting it into a franchisee operation, the Economic Times reported on Monday.
The world's biggest edifice concern will opening Hardcastle Restaurants Private Ltd, one of McDonald's two 15-year-old coequal render ventures that separate its outlets in India, the newspaper said citing the vice chair of Hardcastle Restaurants.
"We are excited. It gives us the freedom to grow aggressively and take hurried decisions," Amit Jatia told the newspaper.
Hardcastle Restaurants owns the edifice concern in west and southward India. In Federal and eastern part of the country the concern is owned by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited.
A spokesman for Hardcastle Restaurants in Bharat said he could not immediately interpret on the report, and Jatia did not move to a accumulation by Reuters hunt comment.
The Economic Times said the modify in ownership at one of the Amerindic render ventures meant McDonald's would no individual equip in Hardcastle Restaurants, but would lend its sort study and support with training, utilization and knowledge.
