Honda to recall nearly 700,000 vehicles globally (AFP)
TOKYO (AFP) – Asian automaker Honda on weekday said it was recalling 693,497 vehicles worldwide cod to nonfunctional parts that could stall the engine and drive problems restarting in destined models.
Honda spokeswoman Natsuno Asanuma said the request would change models of its Freed auto minivan, Fit auto car and City sedan, including around 170,000 of the Freed and Fit in Japan.
The request affects over 220,000 units in Asia, mainly the Southeast Asian ASEAN area, and some 156,000 in China, she said. No accidents related with the imperfectness have been reported, she added.
