Among the earnings stories for Tuesday, Jan. 25, from The Associated Press:

• Luxury container concern Coach says a brawny holiday season, particularly in North America, helped its business second-quarter gain income uprise 26 percent.

• Harley-Davidson Inc. revilement its fourth-quarter loss, effort a ride from a restructuring and a brawny performance from its financial services unit even as bike sales slumped.

• 3M Co., which makes products ranging from Post-Its to stethoscopes, said profit lapse slightly in the fourth quarter. But income rose, led by higher sales of communications and electronics products.

• Quest Diagnostics Inc. said its fourth-quarter gain income dropped 9 percent, as income lapse and the scrutiny work cause also took a $1.1 meg expiration from interrupted operations.
