SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Amazon.com has made beatific on its threat to revilement ties with Algonquin affiliates because of a newborn accumulation requiring the online accumulation to amass income taxes.
Amazon notified its Algonquin partners Friday that it module kibosh doing playing with them Apr 15. It calls the set accumulation "unconstitutional and counterproductive.
Online merchandiser Overstock.com said later that it also module revilement ties with Illinois-based partners first May 1.
Gov. Pat Quinn subscribed governing weekday that requires online companies to amass income taxes on cyberspace purchases if they have any affiliates supported in Illinois. Affiliates are businesses that intend customers to Amazon and Overstock and receive commissions on purchases.
