Mortgage activity slides slightly in week

WASHINGTON, Apr 6 (UPI) -- The Mortgage Bankers Association said U.S. mortgage state decreased slightly in the hebdomad ending Apr 1, as long-term rates were mixed.
Interest rates for 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages chromatic from 4.92 proportionality to 4.93 proportionality with points dropping from 0.83 to 0.7. Rates for 15-year fixed-rate contracts lapse from 4.16 proportionality to 4.14 proportionality with points rising from 0.99 to 1.09, the MBA said.
The MBA's Market Composite Index, indicating the volume of newborn mortgage activity, lapse 2 proportionality in the week. The Refinancing Index lapse 6.2 proportionality in the week, the trade assemble said.
