TOKYO, April 20 (UPI) -- Japanese exports lapse 2.2 proportionality year-on-year in March as the frugalness change the impact of the earthquake-tsunami disaster, the government said Wednesday.

It was the first monthly decline in 16 months as the March 11 catastrophe affected production of vehicles and another products, the finance ministry said in a preliminary report.

March exports totaled 5,899 1000000000 yen ($71.2 billion), down 2.2 proportionality from the aforementioned period terminal assemblage and the March trade surplus lapse nearly 79 proportionality to 196.5 1000000000 yen ($2.4 billion), the ministry said. Feb exports were up 9 proportionality to 5.589 trillion ($67.8 billion).
