AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The FBI has raided the suburban city offices of the Japanese auto parts bourgeois Takata Corp.

A writ and search endorse were served weekday at the offices of TK Holdings Inc. in Auburn Hills.

Takata spokeswoman Alby Berman tells WXYZ-TV she's unsure of the reason for the raid. The FBI said it had no unmediated comment weekday night.

Berman says the consort is "really astonied by the FBI's presence" and says "the consort is cooperating fully."

The send says the FBI is seeking some communications between Takata and other seat track suppliers beginning in 2005.

The website for Tokyo-based Takata says it has most 31,000 employees and 46 plants in 17 countries.
